Dr. Joseph T. Lewis, Pastor

 

Joe Lewis is a native of Pennsacola, Florida.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Sociology from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky and both the Master of Divinity and the Doctor of Mininstry degrees from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia.

Joe was ordained to the gospel ministry at Ginter Park Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia where he also served as Associate Minister from 1985 to 1989.  He was pastor of Fountain Creek Baptist Church in Emporia, Virginia from 1989-1995.  Joe has served as Pastor of Second Baptist Church since January, 1996 to present.  He also serves as the President of the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV). 

Joe is married to the former Teresa A. Berdovich of Mannington, West Virginia also a graduate of Cumberland College.  They are the proud parents of Meghan Elizabeth age 16 and Peter Thomas Clifford age 4.
